Plot:

Yggsdrassil created the Digiworld, and the Seven Sins desired to end it. In efforts to bring about the end of the Digiworld as it is known, they began corrupting Yggsdrassil and the source code of the Digiworld. They killed the Royal Knights, murdered Yggsdrassil's closest companions, and threw down the "God", corrupting the inherent code of the Digiworld. Rapidly, various digimon soon found themselves manipulated by the Sins. Various digimon gained traits of the Sins, becoming dangerous and volatile. Only Digimon partnered with Tamers survive, their codes tied with the Digivices and the Tamers rather than the source code of Yggsdrassil. However, the Sins created their own corrupt Digidestined, to ruin the Tamers who would dare stand in their way.

Traits of the Sin-Corrupted, thanks to Moonlost:

Envy-tainted look upon their peers and see only things that they want in themselves. They are jealous creatures, almost obsessed and paranoid in a way. No matter their own accomplishments, it's never enough, there's always someone who has more. At first, encountering an envy-tainted is lass dangerous than, say, one tainted by Wrath. They might actually be helpful and pleasant enough to start off with. But they are far, far more dangerous over time as that jealousy is fuelled. They might stalk you, watching you from the shadows and feeding their own jealousy, seeking out a way to get what they deserve. The most corrupted are insanely paranoid and obsessed, constantly measuring themselves by others. They will follow a target for weeks in an attempt to get what they want or, if that isn't possible to at least deprive it from their target. Why should you have it if they can't!
Those possessed by envy are thinner and more gangly. They tend to be more twitchy in their movements.
A landscape corrupted by envy likewise seems more looming and imposing, with more hidden areas. Light seems to reveal less, and overall there's this constant feeling that you're being watched.

Gluttony-tainted look to indulge in their appetites to the exclusion of everything else. It's about dedication oneself to sensual pleasures or chasing the next high. Those possessed by it will make any sacrifice to feed their insatiable appetite for pleasure, regardless of the cost to themselves to those around them. It's all about consumption for the singular goal of the enjoyment one gets from it, rather than any other benefit one might gain. The most corrupted will try or do anything to the detriment of themselves and to others. They might consume all of your food, or steal all of your things just for the thrill of getting away with it, discarding the junk once the chase is over.
Those possessed by gluttony tend look more bulky and overweight, but can also show signs of their other indulgences.
A landscape corrupted by gluttony is usually a barren place, all the commodities having been taken by those who reside within it. The few things remaining often create a euphoric sensation if consumed.

Greed-tainted seek to gather material possessions, even if they have no need for them. They see an item that someone else owns and they desire it, and will go to whatever lengths it takes to take it. Thievery, bribery, violence, perhaps even just falling to their knees and begging for it. Once they have a thing, they are loathe to let it go. The most corrupted simply want everything, taking as much as they can without a thought, hoarding it all in one spot and flying into violence should anyone look at their stuff. It's theirs, theirs!
Those possessed by greed look a little more metallic and shiny to reflect their desire for wealth. Perhaps part of them becomes gold-coloured, I can see their eyes flashing gold if they see something they want, for example.
A landscape corrupted by greed likewise appears more metallic. However taking from the land should be a much harder prospect. As an example, berries and fruit are far harder to pluck from trees and plants. Possessions also tend to get dropped or lost more easily in areas corrupted by greed.

Lust-tainted are driven by passion for something that they act upon without consideration for the needs or feelings of others. One often thinks of lust purely as the need for sex, but it also extends to be a craving towards virtually any other experience or activity. A lust-possessed digimon might seek to attention, as an example, and will do anything to become the single-most famous, or notorious, creature in the digital world. Unlike gluttony, which is more about mass consumption to create pleasure, those driven by lust focus on this one pleasure and will do whatever it takes to sate that need. They will use any means at their disposal to indulge their desires, from deception to manipulation to acts of violence. Those most corrupted by lust will go to any extreme in order to further that desire... Although, as a personal preference, I do ask that those playing lust as the desire for sex refrain from anything rape-y. It's just not going to be handled in the right way whatever happens. I really hate to bring it up, but I feel that needs to be addressed.
Those possessed by lust tend to look more physically attractive; less physical imperfections mar their bodies and they don't scar.
A landscape corrupted by lust is likewise picturesque and inviting to a traveller... almost too inviting, obscuring the dangers that lie around with beauty.

Pride-tainted are self-confident and cocky. They believe that everything that they do is inherently right, even when it should be obvious to them that it is anything but. A prideful digimon refuses to back down when his decision or reputation is called into question, even when evidence is clear that they are in the wrong. Their ego does not accept any outcome that suggests fallibility, and they are willing to see others suffer rather than admit they are wrong. Those most corrupted by pride nurture god-complexes, imagining themselves to be the apex of digital life. Everything they do is inherently correct, and others should follow their example.
Those possessed by pride appear much taller and grandiose than their peers. They hold themselves taller, and glare down at those who would challenge them.
A landscape corrupted by pride is just as immovable and dense, seemingly throwing every obstacle it can towards those who dare to venture away from the path they are meant to travel.

Sloth-tainted look to attempt to put the minimum effort needed to get what they need, even if that minimum is destructive to others in some ways. Rather than put in the effort, and risk possible failure, in a difficult situation, they simply refuse to do anything, knowing that someone else will step in to fix the problem sooner or later. Digimon possessed by slot aren't as likely to be a direct danger to the tamers, they're unlikely to get into a fight unless it's necessary. But they do provide an indirect adversary as a result of their actions. They're less willing to help, and anything they are forced to do ends up half-arsed. The most corrupted are wholly unsympathetic creatures, ignoring anything that doesn't involve their own wants and doing the bare minimum at which to survive, leaving things in a broken mess once they move on.
Those possessed by sloth look to be dirtier than their peers, covered in grime and filth. Who has time to wash, anyway?
A landscape corrupted by sloth is likewise a very unclean place, cluttered with rubbish and in near-ruin. Any constructed objects, such as bridges or roads, are likely to be in disrepair and might be dangerous to use.

Wrath-tainted are just generally more prone to violence, quick to anger and quick to throw themselves into a fight. The more tainted they are, the less of a reason they need to fly into a destructive rage. The most tainted become mindless engines of destruction, attacking anything and everything within sight.
Those possessed by Wrath look more muscular. Horns and claws, if they have them, become longer and sharper, and just in general, they look more like weapons than they do creatures.
A landscape corrupted by Wrath are more jagged and fraught with danger. It almost seems like the landscape itself is attempting to fight you in some way; fires more easily spread out of control, plants seem to be covered in thorns or with sharp leaves, things like that.

Oh hey look, a sign in...I may add another tamer later, not sure yet.

Name: Cassie McLean
Partner's Name: Ai
Partner's Species: Impmon
Age: Eighteen
Gender: Female
Appearance: Average height and a few pounds 'over the normal' weight. She's usually in dull colors with the possible exception of her shoes. She's not overly tanned but not extremely pale either, a few small scars on her body. Her hair is a dark red color, shorter on the left side than the right with strawberry blonde streaks in it. Her eyes are a dark teal color with a small ring of golden color around her pupil.
Personality: A fairly calm person, she doesn't really get annoyed too easily. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, though she'll be calm about it. When she does get angry she is liable to show it quite easily, snapping if someone gets through her skin. She doesn't really enjoy it when others are picked on around her and will usually stand up for them.
History: Cassie ended up becoming a tamer at a fairly young age, quickly getting along with her digimon. The two were pretty inseperable and still are now. The pair got into a few little scraps here and there, Cassie getting hurt more than she would like to. Because of that she started to back off a bit more because of that and slowly calmed down from her love of fighting.
Weakness: Ai's weakness and Cassie and Cassie's weakness is Ai. The two can't stand to see the other hurt. Aside from that Ai isn't as strong in the daytime as he is in the nighttime, so the two are a bit more nocturnal than most. Cassie also has a fair problem with cooking so the two try to share the duty if they can.

Appearance: Pretty average. Wears a white shirt and blue jeans. Has a black backpack Clank likes to ride in. Hair is dark brown, eyes are blue.

Personality: Generally a nice friendly guy, a trait he picked up from his partner. He is willing to befriend another or try to. He also likes to joke a bit to lighten the mood but will get serious if it is needed.

History: Nick arrived to the digital world not long ago. He met Clank, (a MetalKoromon at the time) and the two became fast friends. The two are often seen playing or joking. Nick hopes to fulfill Clank's wish....to find his best friend, Snap.

Weakness: Nick is still learning the digital world's quirks and stuff so he is not well versed on the land yet. Clank is still rather childish.

Appearance: Typical Kunemon. Slight metallic sheen but not easily noticeable.

Personality: A little hotheaded but generally friendly. Due to the corruption, he is starting to steal a bit and act a little less like himself as time goes on.

History: A close friend of Clank's. The two were seperated a while ago. Since then, Snap has ended up getting corrupted by the sin of Greed as he searched for his friend.

Weakness: Easily distracted by something desirable.

Name: Cathryn “Kestrel” Novak

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Kestrel, as she often prefers to be called, is a bit shorter than average, and rather scrawny. She’s more agile than anything else, and can move fairly quickly. Her hair is a strawberry blonde sort of color, and her skin is typically sun burnt from being outside a lot. She often wears a bomber’s jacket and a thick, durable pair of jeans. She wears rather plain sneakers, and a pair of goggles often perched on the top of her head.

Spectre is a fairly average looking dorumon, although she wears a reddish scarf around her neck, a gift from Kestrel. She is a bit larger than most.

Personality: Kestrel is a bit idealistic and an optimist. She’s rather ambitious and dreams of being a pilot, like her uncle. She doesn’t get too down easily, and has a tough-it-out sort of attitude, refusing to admit fear or pain. Kestrel is intelligent and street-smart, knowing a lot of basic little things. She has a knack for anything technological. She’s also quite perceptive and rather handy.

Spectre tends to have a similar outlook as Kestrel, although tends to be a bit more cautious. She is incredibly protective of Kestrel and suspicious of any strangers who get near her, unless proven otherwise that they are a friend. She can be a determined, serious fighter who doesn’t quit. Despite that, Spectre is quite intelligent.

History: Kestrel has been a military brat her entire life, often moving from place to place. When she was young, her parents died in a car crash and she was sent to live with her uncle, a pilot in the air force. She always had dreams of flying, and spent a lot of her life learning more about planes and machines than math and literature. She did pick up a fascination for digimon during the occasional times when she did crop up in some sort of public education.

Weakness: Kestrel shares Spectre’s refusal to quit, and often sticks out a situation until the very end. Her education tends to be lacking in areas that she can’t immediately look up on the internet—typically mathematics and sciences.

Other: Kestrel knows a lot of little things. She can fix basic engines or machines, fly a plane if needed, knows standard first aid, lock picking, is pretty handy with a map, and knows a bunch of little things. However, any in depth knowledge of one specific thing tends to be beyond her.

I was curious to see what characters everyone else was going to pick, so I procrastinated. D:

Gender: Female
Appearance: A pretty average girl her age when it comes to height and weight, although she has a little muscle. Her hair is short and messy, dyed bright red colour and black from it's usual brown. Generally clothes herself in a thick, black hoodie, worn jeans and a red shirt. Very dishevelled look to her, and she tends to have an aggressive stance/appearance.
Lex is physically built like your standard betamon, but sports a dark black hide with yellow stripes rather than the standard green and blue you usually see.
Personality: Alex wears her emotions on her sleeve, and is quick to shift them. She's self confident, stubborn and tempermental, but at heart she's a good person. She's loyal to her friends, and quite friendly if in a good mood. But she can get very defensive and is quite prickly on certain subjects, and it can take her a while to admit when she's wrong. She really doesn't like having others telling her what to do, and relying on others makes her feel uncomfortable.
Lex is almost the polar opposite of his tamer. He's quiet and reserved, very polite and quite caring. He acts very much as a counterbalance to Alex, someone to cool her down when she's being stubborn and upset.
History: Alex comes from an academic family in England, and was put under a lot of pressure to succeed and follow in her family's footsteps. She rebelled, eventually running away from home to live on the streets... up until she was swept into the digital world and she met up with Lex. It's been about a month since then, and Alex is still coming to terms with this whole digital world thing.
Weakness: Doesn't work well with others, easy to anger and doesn't always think logically or clearly. Still not entirely used to the strangeness of the Digital World. not the brightest kid out there either. Far from dumb, but not exactly brilliant either.
Other: Knows a bit about how to survive, especially in an urban setting. Quite a decent fighter in her own right, at least when she's not clearly outmatched by the larger digimon out there.

Right so this is super late but I've had no ideas at all.

Name: Raisa Loresco

Partner's Species: Gazimon
Sin (If Applicable): Envy
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: Tallish and fit, with black eyes, tan skin and messy shoulder-length dark brown brown hair. She keeps her hair tied back in a black bandana with a maroon striped pattern on it. Generally she wears a navy and blue striped hoodie and loose black jeans, with a brown shoulder bag always in reach. She clearly loves tattoos, her arms, shoulders and back covered with them. (I'll iron out what they are exactly when I draw her.) Due to her corruption, she's slightly less fit and more gangly looking.
Kasha is an average Gazimon, with a bandana similar to her tamer's tied around her neck. Like her tamer, the corruption of envy has started to make her more spider-limbed and thin.
Personality: Confident and independent, very self-driven and hates not being the best she can be. She gets very irritable when she feels second best, but admits that those better than her deserve their success, and thinks everyone can get to the top if they try. She's very friendly to her allies, though she can get distracted from them easily when someone challenges or looks down on her. She tends to leave the lazy to fight for themselves. Due to the creeping corruption, she's more and more self-loathing, dangerously envious of other people to the point of wanting them dead.
Kasha is vain and a bit cruel, especially now with the corruption. She doesn't like giving people a chance and tends to ignore those in need. When forced to spend time around others, though, she can quickly warm up to them and value their company, and without others she gets very lonely. She doesn't understand what to do when she upsets friends with her cruelty.
History: For some time, Raisa was the rising star in her family. This faltered when she became obsessed with the idea of becoming a Digimon Tamer, something they thought of as ridiculous. She started searching for Tamers and digimon, and had plenty of luck finding them, but no luck finding a Partner. Even after getting swept up in the Digital World she had a hard time, until she stumbled across Kasha. Both of them were endlessly jealous of other, stronger people and teamed up, getting caught by Envy's influence before they could recognize the signs. They're not yet too badly corrupted.
Weakness: Well, envy, obviously. She can easily get so obsessed with her own jealousy that she ignores everything else and takes stupid risks to prove herself, which can be very bad in fights where she pushes herself and Kasha too far.
Other: Because her corruption isn't too severe yet, she's not living in the Envy-corrupt area.
